Drizzlepath is a relaxing walking simulator that places you in the position of a man who is alone on a journey up a mountain in a beautiful landscape. As with the other games from this developer, the game convinced with gorgeous graphics and an atmospherical beauty that so many games are missing.
The story was very difficult to follow – despite there being an attempt of a storyline created by regular voice acting sequences playing in the background, it was impossible to understand what that voice actor said due to a strong accent and a lack of subtitles, making it impossible to understand what the game was all about.
While the graphics as well as the animations are gorgeous, any changes on the resolution or graphic files would cause the game to crash sooner or later before completion, and with the standards being reset after a restart, it was therefore not possible to discover the game’s full graphical potential.
A distinct lack of music was present throughout the game – music only appeared shortly before, during and after a moment of voice acting but despite – admittedly well done – ambient sounds, the rest of the game felt fairly empty. I have a feeling that this could be intended to add to the feeling of natural isolation you find yourself in, but even a quiet or occasional background track would have improved the game experience a ton.
Gameplay wise, I was positively surprised to find myself able to swim! I hadn’t been expecting that and it was a great feeling to jump into the sea and dive and swim away from my troubles. The running speed, while not adjustable between walking and running, was well balanced and didn’t feel too fast or slow, making the walking simulator fairly enjoyable. Jumping also worked well and almost made me jealous of this person’s ability to jump quite far.
In conclusion, the game itself was very relaxing and enjoyable, however with the lack of music and ability to understand the story (due to the lack of subtitles), I found myself a little bored after a while just aimlessly following a path. The beautiful environment still made the game a very nice experience, but in my eyes some small adjustments could improve the quality of that experience by far.

A Wolf in Autumn is a remarkably surprising game. You play a nine year old who finds herself locked inside a shed in a fenced area in the middle of the forest. As you manage to break out of the wooden shack that is your prison, you receive a message from your mother, warning you about the dangers of moving about. It is now your choice whether to listen or to continue exploring.
Upon choosing the latter, we find ourselves in a short but deed storyline unlike any other captivity story that I have previously encountered. Nothing turns out to be quite the way I expected it to and I assume it would be the same for most anyone who plays this. Having played Fingerbones first there is a resemblance between the two games – obviously since they’re both made by the same creator.
The graphics are quite nice, and a little odd with unusual color combinations on every-day items. The atmosphere is therefore unique, sometimes relaxing and sometimes creepy. The riddles are a bit weird for me personally but I liked having some trouble passing through the game – it kind of added to that feeling of helplessness and confusion one has the impression the girl must have felt.
Altogether a very nice indie game, although sometimes a bit annoying with systems like for example only being able to pick up a single item at a time and not being able to interact with anything while carrying it.

What we have here is an indie game with extraordinarily good graphics. I played this game on the highest settings and it was a journey through heaven. The landscape was absolutely beautiful and the background music very relaxing. Bottle is a Walking Simulator – and it takes that title very seriously. The gameplay consists of one main thing: Walking!
Apart from a few notes we can find and pick up, and a short sequence in the beginning and the end of the game, there is nothing but a very linear, almost non-existing storyline. A few implications are made, but there is no consistent story or setting that I could find. I’ve tried exploring a little bit and got lost with no pointers as to where to get back to the path I had to go, which means that while the game is somewhat open world, it’s potentially very frustrating when you decide to use that feature.
To me, for the purposes of a “bedtime story” type of game to calm down before going to sleep, it definitely does its job, but as a game in general, it’s at most acceptable even though beautiful.

What can I say about this game. To be honest, I am really sad writing this review the way I will, because this is the first game I’ve ever received a free key for, and I was super excited about that. However, no matter how I turn and twist this game, I can not figure out a way to review this game and actually recommend for anyone to buy it.
Basically, The Cows Are Watching, is a cow tipping simulator with little to no variation. It’s a constant chase scene that varies between being chased by a dog and a boar – depending on whether you’re inside a meadow or on the path. You get 4 different meadows that each lead to an area filled with cows and a very slow guard dog. Your task: Enter each of the meadows and tip the required amount of cows over within the time limit without being caught by one of the animals.
Never minding the impossibility of the idea of tipping a cow while running past it and slightly pushing it while running away from a dog, there is absolutely no variation in this game. Each of the meadows has the exact same colored cows in them, each of the dogs looks, sounds and acts exactly the same and the pig spawns in the same positions each round. There is no randomization of the cows’ positions, and you basically do the exact same thing in the exact same order each round, adding a few cows to tip every time.
The horror element of the game is completely missing – while basically presenting you with the scenario of a permanent chase scene and the occasional quick scare from being caught by a dog, the game isn’t scary at all. The flashlight does very little to counter the extreme darkness and the brightness has to be maximized to actually see what you’re doing.
Unfortunately for the game, the element of humor that might have saved it from a 1-star review and a thumbs down on steam, is also undiscoverable. While the game presents a short period of amusement during its first levels, that initial comic impression quickly transforms into frustration and even boredom.
To sum it up: Sadly one of the worst games I have ever played, and – even worse – way overprized.
